Your Photo Shoot

Q. How long will my photo shoot take?
A. For Makeovers, Boudoir and Proms allow 2 hours. All other appointments are 1 hour.

Q. How many photographs will I have taken?
A. Our photographers will take a great range of images for you to choose from. Most customers have so many images they love they find it hard to make a selection! But don’t worry we will be on hand to offer advice.

Q. How many people can I bring to the photo shoot?
A. The makeover, Prom and Boudoir vouchers are for one person only. If you have a portrait voucher we can take up to 10 in the party with no more than 2 under 5’s.

Q. Can I request a photographer?
A. We will always try our best to accommodate any customer request however due to photographers covering different shifts this may not always be possible.

Q. What if my child plays up?
A. We pride ourselves in our skills to entertain children and will always give it our best shot. Our photographers work with an assistant where possible. This allows you to relax while we run around with the kids!

Q. Can I bring a friend to watch?
A. Due to health and safety regulations it is not possible for us to accommodate spectators.

Q. Do you photograph weddings?
A. We do not photograph weddings on location, however we are happy to photograph you in the studio should you wish to come along after the big day.

Q. Will you do my make-up before the photo-shoot?
A. We will only do your make-up if you have booked a Makeover, Prom or Boudoir voucher. For any other type of shoot we would suggest that you apply make-up to give your skin a smooth, even colour, wear blusher and define lips and eyes.

Q. Can I bring my pet?
A. We can photograph some pets but please call the studio to check before making your booking.

Q. Can I bring along my own props for the photo-shoot?
A. Absolutely, our photographers love new ideas and are happy to include some of your favourite things, but please let us know what you intend to bring first.

The viewing

Q. How long after my photo shoot will the photographs be ready to see?
A. We aim to have your images prepared for your preview about 7 days after your photo shoot.

Q. Do I have to book an appointment to view my photographs?
A. Yes you will need to make an appointment to come back and see the photographs. Please bring your diary along to the photo shoot so we can book a convenient viewing date and time for you.

Q. How long will the viewing take?
A. Most people will take up to 45 minutes to make their order.

Q. Can I have my photographs printed in black and white?
A. Yes, all of our images are taken using state of the art digital cameras. This means you can buy images in colour, black and white or sepia.

Q. How long will it take to get my images?
A. After your studio session, we’ll arrange your viewing for a few days later. It will then take approximately 8-10 weeks from the viewing date for your finished order to be ready for collection.

Q. How much do the images cost?
A. Eileen Mason Photography offers a wide range of finishes and frames in different sizes, in order to give you a unique portrait for your home. As a guide, prices range from £95 for a 7’’ image in a gift frame – wall portraits with glass and mount start from £350 while make over albums are from £595. You will be given a copy of our current price guide at your photo shoot. We also offer interest free credit* should you wish to treat yourself!

Q. What methods of payments do you accept?
A. We accept Visa, Maestro, Solo, MasterCard, Delta or Cash. We regret we can no longer accept cheques.

Q. Who owns the copyright on my images?
A. Please remember Eileen Mason Photography retains the copyright to all images taken at your session.

Q. Can I have more than one viewing?
A. Yes of course, your first viewing is included in your voucher, if you require subsequent viewings we charge an administration fee of £40 for each viewing.

General

Q. Are there any stairs to the studio or viewing rooms?
A. Yes, all major facilities are on the 2nd floor and are accessed by a flight of steps.

Q. Why do I have to pay an extra £30 when I book my appointment?
A. This is taken as a gesture of goodwill that you intend to come to both your photo-shoot and viewing appointment, and do not cancel within a 72 hour window of either appointment times. Providing you attend both appointments the £30 will be refunded or can be used towards any photographs at your viewing.
